‘The Beatles’ Remasters?
The newly remastered ‘Beatles’ cd’s are out next month. What do people think about this. Are they gonna be worth the wait?
I think that doing remasters is a smart business decision, with the video game coming out and them taking a run at a new generation of fans it’s always a good idea to update the sound and kind of bring them up to a more modern standard, but at the end of the day I’ve already got the records and I’m happy with the way they sound. It’s really not going to be some dramatic change. The same songs, the same instruments doing the same things, just topped off with compressors and eqs kind of knowing what we know now about production. I don’t doubt that they will sound really good, but I don’t see any point in buying them personally. I’m plenty happy with the sound of the ones I have.
