Music Skips Xp

I have a HP Pavilion Laptop, music and video skips??
My laptop skips when I play any music or video.. such as the videos on youtube, and even downloaded videos.
It also skips when I play any downloaded music, or any music which is on any website.
WHY?????How do I solve the problem?

HP Pavilion dv5110ca
Mobile AMD Sempron(tm)
Processor 3000+
1.58 GHz, 384mb of RAM
OS: Windows XP
I figured out the problem. I contacted an HP online tech. They are handy!
HP Pavilion are terrible laptops.
