Music Portfolio
Is it ok to put music on my portfolio site?
Hi! I was wondering if it would be right to put music on my (advertising) portfolio website; (by the way i’m a fresh college graduate). i was just thinking instrumental music by Nujabes. Or would do you think people would think it’s too much or shouldn’t since it’s by someone else?
I would probably not recommend this. You could put off potential clients if they just don’t happen to like that music, plus it is not your music, plus pop/rock music might make your site seem more like a social than professional one.
In general, it is not advisable. Though if you are doing a more advanced website, it might work to have some subtle, unique sounds you have created to work with the control buttons.
