The Epic Battle Of Pink Floyd And Led Zeppelin?
This is part two of my epic battle thing I’m doing; they aren’t that epic, though. These two bands seem to be loved here, so let’s see what you all prefer.
1. Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin
2. Led Zeppelin or Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
3. Jimmy Page or David Gilmour/Syd Barrett
4. John Bonham or Nick Mason (hmm… I wonder who’s better)
5. Meddle or Zeppelin’s Untitled Fourth LP
6. Better live band
7. More pretentious?
8. 1973: Houses Of The Holy or Dark Side Of The Moon
9. 1975: Wish You Were Here or Physical Graffiti
10. Long Songs: Echoes or Dazed And Confused (live or studio)
11. More influential (not sure if you can measure it, though)
12. Pink Floyd at Pompeii or Led Zeppelin at The Royal Albert Hall
13. Keyboard skills: Rick Wright or John Paul Jones
14. Best Stage Show (pretty sure The Floyd’ll win this)
I think I’m going to make a Hendrix versus The Who next.

I love both, so… that will be hard…
1. Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin–Led Zeppelin. I like their general sound better, but I do love Pink Floyd oh so much.
2. Led Zeppelin or Piper At The Gates Of Dawn–Led Zeppelin. My favorite debut album… so many great songs on it.
3. Jimmy Page or David Gilmour/Syd Barrett–Jimmy Page. He is my favorite guitartist… Gilmour and Barrett are geniuses but… I have to go with Jimmy.
4. John Bonham or Nick Mason (hmm… I wonder who’s better)–Bonham, his drumming was so powerful, and it went with the songs really well.
5. Meddle or Zeppelin’s Untitled Fourth LP–Meddle. My favorite Pink Floyd album, and I have heard IV too much.
6. Better live band–Oh, come on. I have to say Led Zeppelin. I think both are good live, but especially Led Zeppelin… Dazed and Confused seals the deal for me.
7. More pretentious?–Oh, I’m not sure…
8. 1973: Houses Of The Holy or Dark Side Of The Moon–Houses of the Holy. The Dark Side of the Moon is great (that is an understatement), but I like the overall feel to Houses of the Holy better… it *is* my favorite album…
9. 1975: Wish You Were Here or Physical Graffiti–Wish You Were Here for sure.
10. Long Songs: Echoes or Dazed And Confused (live or studio)–Dazed and Confused, it is so incredible when performed live.
11. More influential (not sure if you can measure it, though)–Yes, I do not know how I would go about deciding that.
12. Pink Floyd at Pompeii or Led Zeppelin at The Royal Albert Hall–Led Zeppelin The Royal Albert Hall, but…
13. Keyboard skills: Rick Wright or John Paul Jones–If you are talking STRICTLY keyboard skills, then Rick Wright. It kills me to not pick John Paul Jones (he is my favorite musician…), but Rick Wright’s talent is impossible to ignore and I respect him very much. May he rest in peace.
14. Best Stage Show (pretty sure The Floyd’ll win this)–Yes, I will have to go with Floyd. They put on a good show.
Hendrix vs. the Who will be good.
