Toronto Music Scene… Volunteer?
Hey so im from the Toronto area and am going to college for business.
I am interested in pursueing a career in music, not sure what part though, might be marketing but i want to be directly involved with bands and tours and stuff.
I know I have to start out at the bottom doing volunteer work and stuff but what exactly, im not sure
I want to sell merch for a band, i dont know any though, how do i meet up with a band looking for a merch girl.
Im planing on working the door during canadian music week and selling merch or stage hand for NXNE.
DO you know of anywhere or anybody that provides opportunities like this. What path should i be on now.
You can start by spreading the word online about your readiness to volunteer in the music field.In forums and classifeds sites in your city you can list that and ask people if they know any party interested to refer you,leave them an email to contact (a create a new email for that)
